Internet Explorer 2.exe is a game made by MattTheGameMaker, released on August 2, 2015. It is the sequel to Internet Explorer.exe.
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
The game initially displays a mock-up of a Microsoft Windows desktop with a crudely drawn landscape wallpaper and a single Internet Explorer icon. Clicking the browser opens a homepage featuring news articles and stock images carried over from the first installment.
Once a search query is entered, the results page loads to reveal a prompt demanding the user search for "yourself," accompanied by eerie, distorted images. Moments later, two red, rotating disks resembling eyes materialize on screen, accompanied by a piercing scream. The screen cuts to black briefly before flashing a gruesome image of a disfigured corpse, exposing the interior of the skull. Finally, the display cuts to black once more, flashing the player's screen name in bold red letters, before the program deletes itself and terminates.
